About a 10 mile hike to the bottom, bring enough water and food!
Watch out for cactus along the hike. And, dont attempt to go from top to bottom and back out in a day. Bring plenty of water and food too!

Grand Canyon, AZ
The southern rim gives you easy access to the Phantom Ranch, and the Bright Angel Campground. The hike to the bottom can be about 8 hours (10 miles) and you should double the time it takes to go down to get out, unless you're a stairmaster, in which case you can get out in about 5 hours. Watch out for tourists along the trail and always yield to those climbing up.

Car rentals are cheaper for LAX to SFO one way drives, although you are on the wrong side of the road for the amazing views, you can always pull out and capture the breath-taking picture you've dreamed of having. Have your smart phone and ask for crew rates or drop in rates for last minute hotels when you get tired.

Niagra Falls, NY
Fly into Buffalo NY, and rent a car. Stay in Buffalo for a cheaper rate, and drive into Niagra earlier in the morning. Buy a Travel pass through a shop for about 70$ and they do all the hard work for you. You will be delivered to Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, the three Sisters Islands, the Whirlpool, and anything else that needs to be seen. A day is all you need.

Florida Keys, Fl
Everywhere within Florida is driveable, Get to florida and rent a car. Fort Lauderdale is reachable by Spirit for very cheap and is about a 2 hour drive to Key Largo. KeyWest is very touristy and a party town. Marathon is in the middle of the keys and a more reasonable location to stay. Check out a jet-ski tour and a bi-plane ride.

Puerto Rico
An American Territory, so No passport, No Customs, Carribbean beaches, and most people speak enough english to help you enjoy your vacation. Try VRBO.com or homeaway.com for a cheap condo rental. Escape from San Juan and adventure to other coastal towns. Keep in mind there are no private beaches in Puerto Rico, but there is some drug trafficking that happens on the beaches at night. Duluth/ North Shore MN
Fly into Duluth International Airport (DLH) rent a car and drive along the North Shore drive. Beautiful even in the winter. Stop at Canal Park at Canal Park Brewery for some amazing burgers and beers, fresh brewed of course.
Then head north along scenic highway 61. Make sure you stop at Betty's Pies for the best pie you have ever had! Check out the Gooseberry Falls and Split rock light house before reaching your lodge at Cove Point Lodge in Beaver Bay (about 1 hour north of Duluth). Relax in front of the lobby fireplace. Go for a blistery walk out to proposal point, bundle up in sweatpants and enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Superior right outside of your room.Great for a weekend getaway. Try coming in the fall for the beautiful fall colors. Be sure to stop at Duluth Grill on your way out of town for some locally sourced home cooked family love dining.
